Meet Joanna Zaleska, our newest graduate intern!
Joanna will be joining the Kingfisher SEC family for the duration of the internship programme. This opportunity is designed to provide hands-on experience in a professional environment while developing a strong understanding of various aspects of business operations.
Throughout her time with us, Joanna will be supporting both administrative and technical tasks, contributing to projects under her line manager’s guidance and gaining valuable exposure within the security industry.

We spoke to Joanna about her journey, how she got to Kingfisher SEC and how she’s getting on so far:
“Reflecting on how I got here, I remember completing my HR degree last year, wondering what would come next for me. The job search involved countless interviews, preparation, and, at times, self-doubt, wondering if this path was truly the right one for me. Working in hospitality for so many years taught me more than just customer service, but I was ready to step into a new role.
Then an internship opportunity at Kingfisher SEC came up through the university’s Graduate Internship Programme, one that offers incredible support and development for people like me who are transitioning into new roles and career paths.
Now, here I am, working as an HR Admin and Business Support Coordinator, in a position where I am gaining practical, hands-on experience in HR’s diverse practices, while also focusing on my personal growth, confidence, and professionalism. It has been the perfect starting point for putting my skills and knowledge into practice and building up real-world experience with a great team and helping the business.
